The Center for International Private Enterprise, a nonprofit affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce, and one of the four core institute of the National Endowment for Democracy, established its Afghanistan office in 2003 in Kabul. CIPE aimed at strengthening democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE's strategy to help democracy and free market take root in Afghanistan focuses on building institutions that give citizens a voice in their nation's development. CIPE promote private sector to play a key role in resorting stability in Afghanistan through investment, creation of jobs, development of stronger leaders and entrepreneurial culture. CIPE, Afghanistan works to position good governance, which provides citizens with access to the policymaking process and allow democracy to become a part of their day-to-day life-as the centerpiece of reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan by strengthening those institutions.
